What If I told you that you can calculate your weight loss and lose 1 pound of fat in every week?
Turns out it’s possible.
By using simple math you can calculate your weight loss.
You can calculate how many calories you have to eat each day to lose 1 lbs of fat every week that goes by.
Losing more than 1lbs of fat can actually be unhealthy, unless you are severely overweight.
That’s why we are sticking with only 1 pound.
In this article I will tell you exactly how you can lose at least 1 pound of fat per week for as long as you’d like.
Of course when you first start using these tips you will lose more than 1lbs per week, but it won’t all be fat because your body will lose water weight too.
How To Lose At Least 1 Pound Of Fat Every Week
Find out how many calories you burn
So let’s dive right into it.
It’s a fact that one pound of pure fat contains 3500 calories.
In order to lose 1 pound of fat in a week you would need to eat 3500 calories less than you burn.
Makes sense?
So you would need to eat at a 500 calorie deficit every day in order to lose 1 pound of fat in a week.
The first thing you would need to do is find out how many calories you are burning each day.
The average moderate active woman burns about 2200 calories per day.
So in order for her to lose 1 pound per week she would need to eat 1700 calories per day, every day for 1 week.
She would also need to keep her protein intake high enough to prevent muscle breakdown.
I’d recommend using the 40/40/20 approach.
40% protein 40% carbohydrates and 20% fat.
You might need a weight scale to calculate exactly how many calories the foods you are eating contain.
You may want to use an app called MyFitnessPal on your smartphone that makes tracking calories , macros way more easy and efficient.
I know like this sounds a little complicated to begin with.
It actually took me 1 week to figure this out and learn how to calculate my calories and macros correctly.
You will learn it quickly once you start.
Do everything in your power to burn more calories
If we sit at home doing nothing all day we obviously burn fewer calories than we would if we ran a marathon.
I’m not saying you need to run a marathon but you definitely will need to exercise to burn off more calories.
The more you exercise the more calories you burn and the more food you can eat and still lose weight.
Another great way to burn some extra calories is to use a fat burning supplement.
They are actually very effective when trying to lose weight because they :
- Block fat production
- Increase the metabolism
- Reduce hunger cravings
- Make the body burn off more calories
You can see my favourite fat burning supplements in my article here.
