However by eating too much of high calorie healthy foods you can actually gain weight.
In this article we will discuss foods that are healthy but still very high in calories.
You should definitely not eliminate these foods from your diet, rather try to eat them in smaller portions.
Even though many foods are healthy that does not mean they are effective for losing weight.

Healthy Foods That Are Extremely High In Calories
Raisins
Raisins are definitely not considered unhealthy, however raisins are about 70% sugar and 100 grams of raisins contain about 350 calories.
So it’s quite obvious that eating a lot of raisins can make you gain weight.
Try to eat only a handful of raisins or eliminate them from your diet if your goal is to lose weight.
Granola
Many women eat granola with yogurt for breakfast. Granola might be labelled as healthy but it’s very high in calories.
In fact 100 grams of granola contain nearly 500 calories.
That’s definitely a very high number, so seriously reduce your granola intake if you eat it regularly and you want to lose weight.
The same goes for granola bars, they are also very high in calories.
Ground Beef
Ground beef is definitely not a bad choice to eat if your goal is to build muscle mass.
However it’s not the best option on a weight loss diet.
It’s about 30% fat and a regular serving of 200 grams will provide you with about 700 calories.
If your goal is to lose weight try to stick to more lean protein sources such as chicken breast, tuna or haddock.
Fruit Juice
Fruit juice contains a lot of vitamin c which is really good.
However one glass of fruit juice contains 30 grams of sugar and about 120 calories.
So if you drink a few glasses of fruit juice everyday it will eventually add up to many calories.
Stick with water instead for better weight loss results.
Organic Peanut Butter
Peanut butter is actually one of my favorite foods.
However you must be careful to eat not too much of it.
One spoonful of peanut butter contains about 100 calories.
Dark Chocolate
Dark chocolate is considered a healthy food.
Many women believe they can eat as much as they like of dark chocolate because it’s considered healthy.
However 100 grams of dark chocolate contain more than 500 calories!
If you are anything like me you can easily eat 100 grams of this delicious food.
So this is a food that you definitely have to eliminate or seriously reduce if you want to lose weight faster.
Olive Oil
Before you pour olive oil over your salad consider the fact that 2 tablespoons of olive oil contain about 250 calories.
Also try to cook your foods without too much oil if your goal is to lose weight.
In fact 100 grams of oilve oil contain about 900 calories!
Cereal
Most cereals available today are very high in calories.
100 grams of normal cereal contains about 400 calories and also a lot of sugar.
So try to eat something else for breakfast if your goal is to lose weight.
